CaseLoad On The Move
CaseLoad’s global headquarters is for sale.
Yes, after two and a half years of south sea island bliss CaseLoad and his girlfriend Lorraine Craighead are returning from Waiheke Island to mainland Auckland.
Lorraine has been keen to return to her medical science profession and has landed an excellent and challenging job working in the Cardiac Valve Laboratory and Microbiology at Auckland Hospital, which she is looking forward to.
CaseLoad, who in his other life is chief reporter of New Zealand Truth, wants to spend more time and have more flexibility to work on the paper, particularly as it continues to break big stories and prepares for some very interesting developments.
As a result the CaseLoad hideaway on Waiheke Island is for sale – a snip at $600,000.
This architect-designed home was brand new when we bought it in January 2005.
In a private well-treed and shrubbed valley setting one kilometre from Palm Beach, this is a particularly well built and thought out house, with high gently-sloping ceilings, large windows and large glass doors along one wall that folds open onto a big deck.
The living and kitchen is open plan with real timber flooring, there are two carpeted double bedrooms in the house, a fabulous tiled bathroom, open fireplace, recessed lighting throughout and discreet built in quality hi-fi speakers.
The kitchen has both electric and gas appliances.
A separate studio at the front of the house can be used as a third double bedroom but this has been the hub of CaseLoad’s global Ardlui Media network, and doubled as Lorraine’ artist’s studio.
A fully lined double garage with automatic door is under the house, which stands at the top of a fully concreted and lit driveway and parking area.
The easy-care house and studio have state of the art wiring and security system.
It’s a particularly sound property that would suit either as a permanent Island home or as a quality weekend or holiday retreat.
We’ll be putting some photographs up as soon as we figure out how.
Anyone anywhere in the world who might be interested in buying our house and would like more information can contact Jock Anderson at email jockanderson@xtra.co.nz
In any event the house sale will be in the hands of dashing young estate agent Matthew Smith (021 924 439) whose email address is matthew@mathhewsmith.co.nz
