Jock Anderson’s law-flavoured news website Caseload - www.caseload.co.nz - is to join forces with Christopher Harder’s LawyerMeUp legal information website - www.lawyermeup.com
Caseload, which is already featured on LawyerMeUp, will have a more visible presence on Mr Harder’s site.
Anderson and Harder say the sites have common flavours, are rebellious, and gaining in popularity with lawyers, other professionals and the general public.
Meanwhile Mr Harder says his brainchild Legal Blue Pages, which goes live this week, intends to offer barristers affordable display advertising in competition with Yellow Pages.
Mr Harder says he also expects to be able to offer lawyers indemnity insurance through Lloyds of London by mid 2007 now that lawyers in New Zealand can be sued for negligence and bad workmanship in court (Search Caseload’s archives for exclusive barristerial immunity stories).
Jock Anderson’s Caseload is owned by Ardlui Media Ltd, which is to take up a share holding in Great Spirits Publishing Ltd, the owner of LawyerMeUp and Legal Blue Pages.
Ardlui Media director and managing editor Anderson says Mr Harder has a lease to buy option over Caseload, which Anderson currently operates part-time.
“Both sites are independently compatible, complementary, creative and we work well together,” Anderson says.
He says a number of other options and advantages for advertisers on both sites are also being considered.
