On the six-stack eight-speaker CD Linda Ronstadt filled the custom-designed campervan. Sian whistled to herself as the campsite loomed out of the sleet, the red nylon remains of the pup tent cracking whip-like in the mounting gale.

“Tomorrow,” Sian chuckled, chucking a roll of baler twine over her shoulder onto the queen-sized inflatable mattress, “I’ll put the poker up this namby-pamby clutch of latte’d milk sops. See if I don’t.” She tossed a parcel of mutton sandwiches out the driver’s window at one of the soaked figures. The forecast for the next few days was hot and dry for the hay-making High Country. Things could only get better.
